How to keep a useful badminton match record
A useful match record answers three questions: who played, what happened, and when. You can start with a note on your phone and the result shared from LoveAll.

Keep these details together
- The date and place you played.
- Singles or doubles, with the names on each side.
- Every game score in order, with the same side written first throughout.
- The final match result and any agreed shorter-game format.
Write a result that makes sense later
For example: 6 September — Maya / Leila vs Alex / Jordan — 21–17, 18–21, 21–16 — won 2–1. This keeps each game’s scores tied to the same pair.
Before leaving the court, check the result with the other side. Add a short note about anything you want to practise next time, such as receiving a low serve or communicating with a new partner.
Save the result before your next match
Use Share Result in LoveAll to share or copy the score, then keep it in your notes or your club chat. Save each completed result before resetting the scorer.
The current scorer can resume one saved match in the same browser. That local save is not a long-term match archive and does not sync across devices. Clearing browser storage can remove it.
Look for patterns you can act on
Compare similar matches: singles with singles, doubles with doubles, and the same scoring format where possible. Look at the number of matches behind a percentage before drawing conclusions.
The upcoming LoveAll app is being designed around player profiles, match history, and results agreed by both sides. Join the waiting list to hear when those features are ready.
